Before we go into powerful Friday morning prayers, we need to understand that the power of our prayers isn’t in our words, the length of our prayers, or the way we pray. The power of prayer comes from God, who lives inside of us.

When we pray, we need to remind ourselves that it isn’t our power that moves mountains, but the power of God in and through our prayers.

A powerful way to do that is by using Bible verses in our prayers or as the foundation for our prayers. You know, God watches over His Word to do what He has promised. So, if we pray Scriptures (His Word), we remind Him of His promises to us and remind our hearts of the same. It strengthens our faith.

In this blog, all prayers are based on Bible verses—to inspire you and give you an idea about how you can do that for yourself. And know that no prayer is wrong. God knows your heart, He knows your motivation and your intentions. It is okay. Just talk to Him. As God’s children, we can talk to Him at any time of the day.

You are His daughter—He is your Father.

What is a simple prayer for Friday?

Lord Jesus Christ reminded us to keep our prayers short and simple. In the Lord’s prayer (Matthew 6:9-13), Lord Jesus didn’t use many words; yet that is the way He told His disciples to pray.

When I got born again around my 25th birthday (after having been an atheist for my whole life), I didn’t know ‘how to pray’. But I knew how to say ‘good morning’ and ‘good evening’. So that is exactly what I did. In the morning I would say, “Good morning, God” and in the evening, right in my bed before I closed my eyes, I would say, “Good night, God”.

I can tell you I always felt God’s presence when I said that.

You see, it doesn’t need many words to reach God.

Here are 5 examples of short, simple prayers for Friday morning.

We can pray for their well-being, their health, and their happiness. As well as praying for someone who doesn’t know God or who needs help during difficult times.

No matter the situation at hand, God asks us to stand in the gap and pray. Praying for someone on Friday morning is a nice way to help that person, whether they will ever know you prayed for them or not.

When you are praying Scriptures over someone’s life, you can replace the pronouns with that person’s name. A great way to pray this way for someone is by using a Psalm 91 personalized prayer.
